Paradigm Imaging Group, a leading distributor of large-format scanning and printing solutions, announces the availability of a certified ISIS (Image and Scanner Interface Specification) driver for the award-winning imagePRO Ci40 scanner.

ISIS, created by EMC Corporation, is a software standard for the acquisition, viewing, format conversion, printing and storage of documents in order to ensure consistent and reliable communication between hardware and software. The imagePRO Ci40 scanner, combined with the ISIS driver, is a perfect solution for EDM and EDC applications. Some of the key advantages of integrating the imagePRO Ci40 with the ISIS driver are:

  • ISIS certification guarantees product quality, reliability and compatibility
  • Information-intensive systems run faster using ISIS
  • The familiar ISIS interface minimizes re-training at existing ISIS user sites

ISIS is the basis for a public domain standard, ANSI/AIIM MS61-1996 Application Programming Interface for Scanners in Document Imaging Systems, also issued as ISO 14984. Over 300 small format document scanners are available with this industry standard interface. The marriage of the ISIS driver with the imagePRO Ci40 will provide EDM and EDC users with a viable option for their large-format scanning needs that will not require additional training, saving time and valuable company resources.
